Camp Adair

My highlight from camp was eating the food because it was nice
and I really liked it. I enjoyed eating the food that the camp people provided
because it was yum and because we were all hungry and food was what
we all wanted. We ate burgers for dinner on Monday and hot dogs for
lunch on Tuesday.

Another highlight of mine was the Rambo Bridge. My estimation of the bridge’s
height would be around 7-8m tall. At first when I went up I looked down and it was
very high, I asked the lady if I could come down but I was joking of course.
When I finished it I felt like I have accomplished another goal of mine and
I wanted to do it again.

The last highlight of camp for me was getting some sleep. I think sleeping
should be a highlight for everyone because after the first day of camp
everyone was exhausted from the 4 activities that we had to do for the day.

I only faced one challenge at camp and it was the confidence course
because I didn’t wanna go in the mud but i had to because i was forced to.
But after I completed the Confidence Course I felt that I have achieved
something I really disliked which made me feel proud about myself. Even
though I didn’t do the last obstacle properly I still made myself proud.

After attending the camp I feel like I have come out with more friends
than i went in with. I also feel like all of the Year 9's have grown together as a
year group and we all have a stronger bond with each other.
Something else I gained from attending camp was weight because i ate a lot of food.

My suggestions for next year’s Year 9 camp would probably just be,
more time to sleep. Bed by 9 and up by 7:30.
This should happen so that the students can get better rest and be ready for the next
long day of the camp.
